VectorWorks Training:
VectorWorks has redefined the CAD market place by setting standards and constantly surpassing the expectations of design professionals. Sophisticated 2D drafting lies at the heart of a unique design environment that automatically generates 3D models from 2D floor plans and integrates database and spreadsheet functions. Vectorworks Fundamentals: The Essentials (VW1) Recommended for new users of both Vectorworks Fundamentals and Vectorworks Architect, as well as those with minimal CAD experience. Prerequisite: Participants must be competent in using Macintosh or Windows computers and familiar with basic hand drawn drafting techniques.
Vectorworks Fundamentals: Further Studies (VW2) This one day concentrates on tools and techniques for speeding up your drawing process. Users will gain a good understanding of Sheets, Viewports, Symbols and other Resources. The important subject of DWG file import is also covered in depth as is working with imported sketches & photos. Finally, users will also learn how to customise the Hatch and Title Block tools and get an introduction to Worksheets & Reports.
Vectorworks Architect: Intelligent Drawing for Architecture & Interior Design (AR1) Recommended for users new to Vectorworks Architect and who are familiar with the basic operation of VectorWorks. This one day course focuses on the 2D workflow using the industry specific tools found in the Vectorworks Architect product. Users will learn how to draw with architectural objects such as room spaces, walls, windows and doors. The day also introduces the automatic reporting and scheduling features in Vectorworks Architect. In addition to existing users of the Architect module, the course also offers an inexpensive opportunity for Fundamentals users to fully evaluate the industry specific tools and to see how they can aid the CAD workflow over and above using basic drawing tools such as lines and text. Prerequisite: Vectorworks Essentials for Architects - Day 1 or previous Vectorworks experience.
Vectorworks Architect: Working More Efficiently-Data Sharing & CAD Management (AR2) Recommended for VectorWorks Architect users who are familiar with the basic operation of Vectorworks. This one day course focuses on the workgroup features of Vectorworks and is aimed at those Architects working on projects which require the efficient sharing of information between collegues. Central to the day is detailed coverage of Workgroup Referencing. Other subjects include the setting up of shared symbol resource folders, suggested CAD folder structures, batch printing of multiple drawings, batch saving to PDF for archiving purposes and batch printing. Prerequisite: Vectorworks Essentials for Architects - Day 1 or previous Vectorworks experience.
Vectorworks Landmark: Intelligent Planting Plans (LM1) Recommended for users new to Vectorworks Landmark and who are familiar with the basic operation of Vectorworks. This one day course focuses on the 2D workflow using the industry specific tools found in the Vectorworks Landmark product. In addition to existing users of the Landmark module, the course also offers an inexpensive opportunity to fully evaluate the industry specific tools and to see how they can aid the CAD workflow over and above using basic drawing tools. Prerequisite: Vectorworks Essentials for Garden and Landscape Designers - Day 1 or previous Vectorworks experience.
Vectorworks Landmark: Contour Plans & Site Modelling ( LM2) Recommended for those familiar with Vectorworks. This one day course focuses on the 3D modelling techniques available to garden and landscape designers within Vectorworks. It covers both terrain modelling techniques and specific objects such as hardscapes, 3D trees and plants, walls, windows, doors, roofs and stairs. Prerequisite: Vectorworks Essentials for Garden and Landscape Designers - Day 1 or previous Vectorworks experience.
Vectorworks Spotlight: Intelligent Plots Plans & Designs (SP1) Recommended for users new to Vectorworks Spotlight and who are familiar with the basic operation of Vectorworks. This one day course focuses on the 2D workflow using the industry specific tools found in the Vectorworks Spotlight product. In addition to existing users of the Spotlight module, the course also offers an inexpensive opportunity to fully evaluate the industry specific tools and to see how they can aid the CAD workflow over and above using basic drawing tools. Prerequisite: Vectorworks Essentials for Spotlight - Day 1 or previous Vectorworks experience.
Vectorworks 3D Modelling Training Course: Jump into 3D (3D1) Recommended for those familiar with Vectorworks. This one day course focuses on the 3D modelling techniques available to architects within Vectorworks. It covers both generic modelling techniques and specific parametric tools such as walls, windows, doors, roofs and stairs. Prerequisite: Vectorworks Essentials for Architects - Day 1 or previous Vectorworks experience.
Vectorworks Renderworks Training Course: Visualise Your Designs (RW1) Recommended for those familiar with Vectorworks 3D modelling techniques. This one day course delves into the basics of lighting a model, creating and placing realistic textures on models and enhancing renderings with backgrounds and image props, as well as techniques to maximise the quality of graphic outputs from renderings. Prerequisite: Vectorworks 3D Modelling for Architects or previous experience with Vectorworks 3D tools and techniques. Back to Training |
